Unicorn food? Blue and Red Ramen nearby Tokyo Skytree??

Have you ever seen blue or red ramen before? Recently we have heard that in Tokyo, there’s a special shop named Kipposhi that sells blue ramen!

As a ramen lover, there’s no reason for us to miss the chance to check it out! We search online, and found that the store is nearby Tokyo Skytree. Is it possible? Why it’s blue? Continue reading, and check it out with us!

From the outside of the shop, we can see different from other ramen shops, Kipposhihas a more modern outlook.

After entering to the ramen shop, from the menu we found that they provide not only blue ramen but also red ramen! So, we ordered both of them! Of course, other than blue and red ramen, they also provide normal miso ramen, curry rice, dumplings and more.

About 7-8 minutes, our blue and red ramen finally arrived!

Blue Ramen

First, we tasted the blue ramen. The soup is the gentle taste of chicken broth, and with the topping of one flavored egg, 3 slices of chicken, and some vegetables. To rate the taste of the ramen, we will give it 8 out of 10. But, with the idea of making ramen soup into blue, we will give the shop one more point, 9 out of 10. It really add a new color to the traditional Japanese ramen!

Hmm.., so why the broth of the ramen is blue?
Of course, it’s the top secret of the shop. However, the owner of the shop has claimed that the blue color is made naturally without adding any food coloring.

Red Ramen

Later, we tried the red ramen. The base of the soup is same as the blue ramen. Compared to the blue ramen, the red ramen has a strong ginger flavor.

It is said that the red color is from the red ginger, which is commonly use in Japanese dishes. But, it’s the first time for us to see red ginger adding in ramen. Surprisingly, it’s not only cool but also extremely great combination!

If you are visiting Tokyo and finding a ramen shop to go, this is one of our recommended ramen restaurants.
